Ok I'm about to go to my girlfriends prom, I have until April to learn how to dance, help!

Oh man, we're on the same boat. XD My prom is in May, but I cant dance either. :lol:

I wish I could help, but I'm sitting here stressed over my own prom in May. We should start a special interest group, lol. I'm just going to hope I'm only put on the spot to dance during slow songs. That way all I have to do is hold the guy, lol. I think I can handle that.

if you worry then your prom will be crap. i can't dance to save my life and because i let it bother me, i didn't have fun my junior year. senior year, i went, and i just told myself "I don't care what people think" and i had a great time and no one even judged my bad moves LOL!

Since it's senior year and the guy I plan to go with acts crazy anyway (he made up his own stupid dance, lol), I should just relax and if anyone says anything about my bad dancing, I can lie and say I'm being a bad dancer on purpose. ;)

Anyway, I'm sure there are websites out there that can at least give you tips on how to relax and deal with the stress of going to prom without any dancing skills. :lol:

If you can follow the beat in any song, you can dance, just move to the beat. Don't worry about what anyone else thinks of your dancing, it's your night to have fun and let loose :)

I am also going to prom, and I cannot dance. The only thing I can do is do the slow dances that ```` from side to side. But like when they start playing rap, and eveyone starts to violate each other me and my friends all get into a group and jump up and down pretending we are at a rock concert. It is the best, everone looks at you like you are crazy.

At the last dance we tried to crowd surf but that does not work well.... I was the only one to miss the last person... lol but it was a blast. The teachers tried to stop us, but I said well what about them? They sure are being very explicit, and they let us continue.

I got taught social dance(It was the worstexperience of my life[maby cause i had to dance wioth the teahcer and there was a shortage of girls and the alternative was dancing with your own gender :scared: Andno one picked me!])So your fine unless your people are soo picky about pro-dancing..

Uhm I'm usually talking to my friends even on the dance floor :lol: I just do whatever and go with the flow :D

I'm not going :P my friends think I'm crazy, but i really just don't want to go. To much effort and money goes into it, then its usually just a let down :P I might go to a party or two after though :P
