I know CompUSA offers tutoring/classes if you want to learn. You should check with them. Usually though, they'll only consider you if you're over eighteen.

You're still young so you can still learn it in high school or college. If you do some searches for programming languages, I'm sure you can find a load of sites that teach you. php.net and java.sun.com has documentation on all the methods and functions within their language but to understand what those mean, w3schools is a good place to go.

classes are over rated anyway. You can know the same amount or more from reading a book and not paying for a class

Uh, it depends on the person. The original poster said learning it online was too confusing, so R/L classes could really help him/her out. With a teacher and other classmates, you can pick up other tips.

Have you checked what your high school offers? You may be surprised. My high school has no selection of classes whatsoever, but has an abundance of really great computer classes. They teach java, flash, html, css, dreamweaver, adobe photoshop, microsoft office applications, and some programming languages (C+ I think?)
If they don't, ask around. Your computer or technology teacher may be able to point you to some classes in the area, or give you a few pointers.

No I'm not suprised that my high school offers those since I happen to be in the compsci major in my school. Which offers all those classes including cisco networking c++ vb.net databases etc. =P
and if oincubusx tells us what programming language he wants to learn, I'm sure i can find a nice site that can help him or her...

I'm assuming the original poster wants to learn general Web languages... like PHP, JavaScript, the more complex stuff.

You can also check the community colleges in your area to see if they have any of those classes available.

If you want to learn php, I'm currently doing php in one of my classes and I can teach you what we're currently learning. I can show you how to learn by yourself by reading the documentation languages such as php and java provides. If you want...
