Does anybody know of any good software I can use to burn avi or mpg files to a dvd besides nero? I don't understand nero I keep getting errors.

What errors do you get?
from what i understand for a dvd you need the .vob files plus a .ifo and a .bup file

i did some huge research last night for my own problem with had to do with dvd's aswell and i saw that allot of people keep getting errors when those files are missing.

Maybe if you can post the error you get, we can try to help you out ? :)

At the end when my dvd is just about over a error pops up and says that the burning to the disk failed or something like that. I converted my avi and mpg files to a dvd format and all those files you mentioned(.bup, etc) saved after I converted the avi. So what you are saying I have to make sure I put all those files in for it to be able to burn correctly?

yeah you have to burn .ifo .bup and .vob files all that you have

Does the error have a number? I'm not really into nero that much but back in the days when i had a pc i used nero aswell and i remember them having a index of errors on their site where you can search for them and find the answer.

Yea it had a error number I believe. I can't remember what # but Im going to try again and check nero for some more help. Thanx for helping.
