Hi there,

i have this dvd i got from school with some projects we made on it. I want to copy it but we don't have a dvd burner, so instead i wanted to rip the dvd, and put that one big .mpg file i should get onto a normal data cd. Then atleast i have my work to watch on a computer.

So i ripped it, got several .vob files but how do i get this one .mpeg file that is small enough to fit on a data cd ? (700MB or less offcourse)

I searched and searched but all i can come up with are programs for PC's, and i myself have an iBook using MAC OSX. I have iMovie and iDVD if that helps anything ... used MactheRipper to rip the DVD.

so you have a dvd reader, but not a writer? With certain programs you can actually burn to multiple cd's, i think nero has that capability.

that is the only real one i can find. i dont know if it comes witha trial or not. I am sorry btu i have never realyl heard of vob so i cant be of much assistance.

[edit] i found this, it has a trial version. i dont knwo if it only does sound or what. but you can still try.

Thank you so much ! .vob files are created for dvd's. if i had a dvd burner i could just burn all those files onto a dvd and i was done. but like you said, i only have a dvd reader yes :)

edit: Just wanted to let you know that i first converted them to .avi and then downloaded D-Vision 3 to join them all together. I found out in D-Vision that it can also join .vob files, so i found my program! thanks for all the help, without your replies i never would have found everything i have now :)
