Does geocities support the lake applet? I think I have done everything right but just a grey box that says Loading images... appears.

Did you download the lake applet file "lake.class" and upload it into your host/server? If not, that's where your problem is.

Your code is wrong you must save your GIF in an "_fpclass" file then write the adress of where it is like it says on Lissa's site!
