Ok my question is hard to explain. Hopefully it will make sense. First of all I am using psp9 and a seperate .gif animation program called Unfreeze.

I want to make some text with a animated flash of color that goes across the text. I have been able to do this with the airbrush, but its just a solid color. I would like to use a gradient to replace the solid color. Say like a blue/white/blue gradient that flashes from the first letter and goes across all of the letters.

The problem is when I paint with a gradient the gradient just centers inself over the text. So instead of painting a blue/white/blue gradient on the first letter it just paints blue. Then the center of the text will paint white and the end of the text will paint blue. Is there a way to make the airbrush (or any tool) paint a graident where you want it?

I hope that isnt to confusing. Any help would be appreciated.

u can make the gradient repeat so that the colors are closer and will paint the gradient in each letter.....or, try making each letter separate...like to say u want it to say boy. so type the "b" and color it. then type the "o" and color it...etc....hope that helped

Yeah I know about changing the graident size but for it to be a smoothe animation the graident would have to travel across the letter as well. Say like 2 frames for each letter.

I saw some animation like I wanted. And I got in touch with the author. He said he used photoshop and a gradient layer. I have always been a believer that you can do the same things in psp as you can in photoshop but maybe I was wrong.

I guess I could change the graident size for each frame but that is going to take FOREVER if I have to do 15 frames. Anyone else have any other ideas?
