I read Lissa's helpful information, but does anyone know a way to only block an IP address for 24 hours? And is there a way that the computer can automatically recognize the person's IP address? Or do I have fill in them all?

you should be able to do it with ssi (server side includes) but i'm not an ssi expert. the problem you'll run into is that if the end user is savvy enough they'll just disable their javascript and still be able to get in. unless of course you do all in ssi which should work fine but like i said i'm no expert.

the best thing to use is applications. i know you can do it with java applications but if you don't know how to code java or have an application server it doesn't help.
