I said in a different post that i dont have "best friends." Plus, I don't really understand what "trade in" means. Like, for a new best friend? Sure.

i ment if you were given the opinion of a million dollars but in exchange for your best firend so you wouldnt be firends anymore.

And oh im sorry you dont have a best friend.

I have very good friends, but i try my hardest not to segregate my "best friends" from my "friends"

i would more than willingly trade in the girls who think i'm their best friend (but not *my* best friend)

haha i'm the only person who voted yes

but it really depends on who/what i would be selling them to.. and whether they pay me upfront or gradually.. hmm.. :confusion

i'm kidding, i'd never sell my friend, but i guess i instinctively voted "yes" before i really thought about it [a million dollars is a lot of money!]. my bad :buckt:

You can't buy friendship. For all the money in the world, you can't.

You can't buy friendship. For all the money in the world, you can't.
But, thats not the question. The question is, can you sell friendship?

I grew up with my best friend, and she is like a little sister to me, so no, I would never trade my best friend for a million dollars...

Money will eventually run out or get boring. My best friends will not. I would not trade them for a million bucks or the entire world.

Yeah, I would sell. I would give the money to my parents. Cliches like "friendships last forever" aren't true in some situations anyways.

My best friend and I don't talk anymore, but I wouldn't.

See, i dont really like super-vauge questions like this. If i was going to sell his soul or his life, then no. I would never sell him to death or anything. If I got one million dollars for him not being my friend anymore, most likely not. Maybe, though... Just maybe.

I said no, because a million dollars really won't last very long these days. A friendship lasts a lifetime. Besides, word on the street is that winning a million dollars causes more problems than it solves.

Looking at the economy now, a million really isn't that much.

I love my best friend to death...

If you've ever lost someone whom you deeply cared about, you would know that sometimes you would be prepared to give up everything you own just to have that one special person back in your life again. I would never sell out a friend, in any way, and certainly not my best friend.
It's true that sometimes friendship does not last a lifetime, but I'd rather the friendship dies of natural causes than me selling something so valuable.

I agree Marianne. But if I told my friend that I chose him over a million bucks, he would kill me lol.

I'm not really sure who my best friend is, so this is a difficult question. But I know I wouldn't trade my boyfriend for anything...

lol the way i see it if your willing to trade in your friend for a million bucks then their not really your friend and you dont care about them much...

But don't you think it would depend on the situation?

angel_victory
01-22-2005, 06:23 AM
well not really since that if you really did like them then you wouldnt want to trade them for a million bucks. but if you do isnt that enough to tell yourself that you dont like them that much... :)

Marianne
01-22-2005, 08:08 AM
But don't you think it would depend on the situation?
true... if I was broke and had bill collectors at my door, I don't know if I could afford to maintain the same moral standards, so I guess it's easy for me to say I wouldn't, because I don't need money at this time in my life.
If I was broke and had a child to look after, I would sell anything to provide for the child - if I would not do it for myself, I would definitely do it for a child I had to provide for.

1 million dollars is a lot of money, but my best friends are worth infinite dollars, and that is not possible. My friends mean more to me than anything else on this planet, I have about 5 people I consider my "best friends", the ones I invite over to my house, each unique and different, each more valuable to me than anything else. I would never get rid of my friends.
