Hi there,

i need to make a frontpage for school in Illustrator, but if i don't keep it inside the margin's of the page the printer will just ignore my print request at school. So i thought i could cut it off just like that, well yeah bad thinking :P So i figured it had a knife tool, but how do i cut in a straight line?

I searched on the internet first offcourse, and it said i had to holddown the "option" key (i use an iBook) and so i did. however, the line isn't straight at all. So i tried the shift key, but that one makes the cursor change back to a pointer and select the whole image when clicking on it. I also tried a combination of them both, no luck either.

So how do i use the knife tool to cut a path in a straight line? I wish illustrator had atleast some of the photoshop options :P
