Without promoting my site I'm having a problem with a new layout I'm creating, I'll try and set the scene but bear with me - I'm pretty much a newbie.
I have a html page, currently I have a FrameSet, there is the mainFrame, and the bottomFrame. The main frame uses the majority of the page whereas the bottomFrame is only 23px high. I have a CSS linked to the mainFrame, this repeats a background image down the page. Now come's the problem, I have a banner at the top of my page, which is 800px wide, the exact same size as a gap in the background, so hypothetically speaking it should fit flush with the background because they're both centered. This is indeed the case when viewing the page in Firefox, however when I use Internet Explorer to view the site, there is a rather large gap to the right of the banner, forcing it to be offset and no longer flush with the background. However, when viewing the mainFrame.htm on it's own, outside the frame set, the gap is significantly smaller, however still visible by a pixel or two.
If anyone has an idea on how to line the image to be exactly centered to fit the background flush in both Internet Explorer and Firefox I would appreciate this greatly, thanks, blythy.
P.S. this is my first post and when I finally resolve this problem I'll have a browse round the forums and start to get invovled and introduce myself properly.
