ok if i go on the internet to a site with animations such as an icon site (http://iconator.com) and i try to save an icon, it will only save as a bmp. I can't change the file extension name to a gif. Therefore, when i try to open up my icon again, it's not animated. Does anyone else have or had this problem and know how to fix it? thank you so much

right click on the image, then click 'save as'. on the dropdown for "save as type" choose .gif

Yeah, it does this with .gif images for some reason. I forget exactly what you do to get them to download in GIF format, but I've always downloaded them through a download manager, so when I right click them I click "Download with GetRight" rather than "Save Picture As..." (since they don't list GIF as an option on save as type). I'm pretty sure there's another way to obtain it without the use of a download manager though. Oh well. If you don't have one just look up the name of the image in your temporary internet files folder and pluck it from there.
