I know I am so stupid, I don't even know what forum this belongs in! But I have a picture I want to use for a layout (oviously I'm not even an intermediate person) but the picture takes FOREVER to load! Is there any way I can speed up the process, or something? this is cuz u have it saved in .bmp try saving it in .jpg and it will load way faster

you can save it as a gif or jpg file type.
both of those are very common and much smaller file size to load.

gif is generally for logo or drawn type images.
jpg is generally for a photo type image.

try both and see which one works best for your image.

Also, try octomizing the image. If you're using Photoshop or Paint Shop Pro, you can do this in the save file dialog
