This one may seem slightly complex so bare with me.

I have read the bit on the website about adding PAGE anchors. If I have got a div layer with a scrollbar, and the information I wish to add an anchor to is in that layer, but down the scrollbar, then will it scroll down automatically? Or will I need to have a different code?

it will ignore the div information and go straight to that section of the page. your page will look fine.
