on the above link, im trying to do a simple form. however, when i tested it, when you push send it brings up this weird hotmail browswer window. when my visitors come, it will be annoying. can you please tell me how to stop this? thanks

that's because most browsers don't support email forms- they just open the default mail client like a simple mailto link. to get around that, you have to use a script that gets processed by the server rather than the browser. you'll need to use a language such as PHP, ASP, or Perl to do that. if you can use one of those languages on your host, try a Google search for [name of language] email script or something similar, and you should be able to find a script. if not, try looking for a remotely hosted script- Lissa even has a list of remotely hosted CGI (Perl) scriptds in the Tools section of her site.

ok well i was going to use something like formmail.to but i wanted to be able to have a form on my brinkster page, not a link to the formmail page. is there anyhting like that?

the reason you got the hotmail window is your computer. if you go to the tools menu and bring up internet options (or something like that) and go to programs(in IE) you will see mail programs, there it probably say Hotmail.

just sign up at www.bravenet.com and let your mail pass with that
it only sends through your mail, so that people dont' get that 'mail option pop up' because it's really annoying and most people dont' want to send email like that.
bravenet.com is fully customizable and like i allready said; it only sends through your emails from the form to your email account.
