I mean, there are a lot of Christian Rock Bands and stuff. But I wanna see some Bhuddist rock bands. and some Muslim rock bands. All genres of music are too broad to override each other. Consider pop-punk (Good Charlotte, The Ataris, etc.), it's like a combination of style. And then there's Jay-Z teaming up with Linkin Park, who happens to be rap-metal. Too many subgenres to consider overriding. ;) But if you mean like MTV in a way, maybe, though they give rock playtime too. It's not that I don't get what you're saying, but perhaps you're talking about society's taste in general?
