what do you call those kids in school who wears nothing but black and brings the santanic bible to school? posers or do you really think they believe in such things? do you think its just a image?

Well, we wear school uniforms, so no such people to my knowledge :)

I don't care about people like that. if they like to be that way then fine with me. I was at a concert of avril and atleast 50% of them where below the age of 14. I was first thinking "what are they doing here? they don't even understand any word she is singing in her songs! they just like to be her because she has this 'tie' thing going on" but then later on i thought "why care. It's either ruin my own night by moaning about those kiddies or just have a good time and let them be them"

a poser to my knowledge is someone who tries to be something they are not. when i was in middle school, i was a "poser" because i dressed like a "skater" but i have never ever touched a skateboard.

exactly my point. I wear tight jeans and bright colours etc ... but i listen to punk and rock music aswell. When people find out they are shocked or something haha. People nowdays are so much bothered by others that they even forgot how they are theirselfs :P

oh my gosh, lol, that quote above is from a shirt ain't it? one that they're selling by the dozen at hot topic. ha-ha-ha, about 12 people in my school wear them shirts and it's really awkward, because I see soooo many of them on sooo many people, isn't that kind of an oxymoron to what the shirt says? lol, nevermind..*random&*

anyways. Who knows if people are being themselves when they wear all black? Maybe they really are satanists and just plain love the color black. I guess you really can't justify that they're posers unless you actually know them or whatever. I just think that there's no way that you could tell just by looking at them that they're posers. But this is just my opinion.. :P

This is weird beccause today i was in the mall and i went to hot topic and stuff just to see what they sell and crap but i saw like 50 like 8 year olds! and i was li ke.... wow... and you know its not becuase they are "depressed" or believe in "satan" but because they think they are trying to be cool and look like they are 'in"? well that was weird, but i think that the people who are wearing all that stuff are just people who are trying to be cool... thats my opinion. :)

that's what it seems like to me too. at least for the people who "seriously" shop at hot topic.

I went to the mall a lot in the past few weeks for shopping and whatever and on several different occassions, we saw the same kid wearing the same black shirt with the same black pants.... like 4 different times!! it's like his parents won't let him out of the house dressed like that so he changes when he leaves so he can look cool...

I had to go to Hot Topic yesterday for hair dye. Most expensive dye I've ever bought. Not to mention I wasn't wearing all black so there was kind of an air of "What are YOU doing here?" wafting around.

Are you talking about the people that dress gothic? I like the clothes in Hot topic especially the t shirts. I don't dress like that but I wouldn't mind dressing like that once in awhile. Not to be like someone else of course.

OMG... I so know what you mean... I went there to get my Halloween costume and I could just feel them staring at me. I felt so uncomfortable and out of place in there!

I have never even been inside of a hot topic. The one at our mall sort of looks like the gates of ^^^^ to me... and I would rather not go in a place like that :P

Noone knows.... I have never been in that store, but a friend of mine got me a Aqua Teen Hunger Force T-shirt from there. So I will wear it. I don't care what store it is from.

it's not really the store that i don't like, it's the atmosphere... when you go in there, like some of us have said, if you aren't one of their "kind" then you get funny looks and they make you feel unwelcome.

The people that work in that store are sooo nice. They come and ask if you need any help and say hi when u barely walk in. Well the HotTopic I go to. I wear colorful clothes too when I go in there. haha Prolly it's in your head that u think they are starring at you. lol I think it's cool they sale carebear stuff and other things in there. "Just because people like shopping in that store don't mean they are dark people." Some people shop there cuz they wanna look like others. Others shop there cuz it's their style. Come on now, people that wear all black love carebears too. lol There is even clothing that has pink on it too. I dunno I like the clothes it's nice and different.

The shoppers in their seeing how I had to watch my mom and dad go in once, do liek to stare at you... lol espicaly when that happens... plus the hot topic isn't at our mall its at a mall slightly further away. plus Ima not a big shopper when it doesn't come to Technology I don't know any other stores in our mall except EB games, KB toys, and Sears... lol

OMG I KNOW! hello, carebears were cool for 3 year olds when *I* was a 3 year old. They went away and all of a sudden, they are a teenagers best friend... and strawberry shortcake too... i was just an infant when strawberry shortcake was cool. and now it's like a trend.

Hot Topic merchandise is overrated and overpriced, but I agree with the others on their workers. Hot Topic workers are very nice and helpful.
