darklitch 12-30-2004, 12:08 AM WHERE IS THE MUSIC? you must have music uploaded to the internet. What you are doing is probaly very Illeagel.
me yes me 12-30-2004, 03:24 AM I'm bored and feeling generous:
<embed src="http://a420.v8383d.c8383.g.vm.akamaistream.net/7/420/8383/3b858b51/mtvrdstr.download.akamai.com/8512/wmp/4/25873/29488_1_2_04.asf"
loop="true" autostart="true" controls="smallconsole">
If you only want it to play once, change it to loop="false".
If you want it to start immediately when someone navigates to your page, keep it on autostart="true". Otherwise, change it to false.
Next time you want background music, use the same code, but instead put embed src="URL HERE". If you need URLs, go to www.cdzlimited.org, click on Search, search for the artist, find the song, right-click --> Copy Shortcut, and paste into the code I gave you.
soleil74 12-30-2004, 04:50 AM The music on that site doesn't work...and how do i get URLS from them? I'm so confused!!
MaGiCSuN 12-30-2004, 09:21 AM did you even read the post?

soleil74 12-31-2004, 01:35 AM I did read it, but I'm still not quite sure about getting the URL...I'm probably dense, but I'm trying to get the URL for glow by alien ant farm. So, I went to www.cdzlimited.org, and I did the search, and It took me to this page: http://cdzlimited.org/rock/A_B/alienantfarm.html. If I click play, beside Glow, then it just plays, but I don't get an URL, because the page doesn't change, windows media player just opens and plays it. what am I doing wrong?
darkecko 12-31-2004, 03:56 AM kay man,
hey i love cdzlimited and i use it all the time.
What you want to do is instead of clicking the play link with the left mouse button, you want to click it with the right mouse button, and then left click where it says copy shortcut.
Then you go to your respective script that contains the area where you would put your text and put your cursor there and paste the shortcut to the area....if any more questions pm me...
umichigan 01-01-2005, 06:13 AM I would suggest searching for music codes that people purposely upload for that purpose. They are called copy & paste music codes. Just Google that, you'll probably get tons of sites. But copying the shortcut I'm pretty sure illegal, it's stealing bandwidth from cdzlimited.org. The best thing I can tell you is to go to the song you want, right click, hit 'Save Target As' and save it to your computer. If you're on a freehost, like geocities, they don't support music files. Some freeservers like freehomepages.com I believe supports music files. So I would create an account there and upload your song. Then just link that to your HTML code. The only problem you might run into is the files from cdzlimited.org are saved as .asx files and you might get some problems running into that while trying to load up your page. I remember trying to play some .wma or .asx I don't remember which and I had some little IE thing come up about copyright or something, soo yeah...Like I said best thing to do is find some copy and paste music codes. If you have any questions, just reply privately to me or just reply publicly or whatever you people call it.
