I don't have any desktop items either...I don't like them much, they seem too cluttery. I have the recycle bin, and that's it. Sometimes if I'm working extensively on a layout I'll put the folder on the desktop, but that's it.

I can't take a picture of mine right now, cause I'm not at my house. Right now it's a big picture of Johnny Depp...I need to fix it though, it's kind of ugly at the moment, and I'm thinking of changing it to something Kingdom Hearts related anyway...

My theme is different, so my internet looks a bit different than most peoples, my bootscreen is custom(dont try unless you know what your doing or have a program), and a custom login screen....yeah.....just dont bug me about it :P

Theres also that 'find' menu on macs desktops, thats called ObjectBar, i have it on my computer but never open it, its not important, really....
Stylexp is free for 30 days, then costs $20 for lifetime with 1 year of updates, objectdock is completely free, you have to fool around with what you want....they have links to a good site to find themes at.
Theres people that do theirs manually, you really dont need programs, but if you dont trust yourself, id get them. if you mess up your bootscreen manually, well, yeah, im sure you can put that piece in the puzzle...im not sure how well those programs work with anything other than XP, and of course if you have a mac, you dont need to, but i <3 mac laptops, and i want one, but their expensive, we have 1 soon to be 3 for our techlab in the bandroom at school...so im used to them

Which program does that minimization? The docker or the task bar? I had to go with yzDock, and I'm not finding that in there, so all of my minimized still goto my taskbar, which I just hid. How did you get away with that?

i use objectdock, and in the program theres a box to get rid of the taskbar, but also in your taskbar properties you have to check that box to autohide it, and lock it, so this way your windows that are maximized go all the way to the bottom of your screen, instead of showing part of your desktop...but yeah i never used yzdock so im not sure, and object dock you can choose where you want your minimized windows to show *feels popular :) lol*

Yeah, I had the autohide option fine, but when I try Objectdock it tells me it isn't a valid win32 app, so I'll have to look into it more.

Where's the taskbar and the icons?

I removed them by auto hidding the taskbar, and hidding all the desktop Icons. I like it that way it makes it look neat and clean. Everything I use/need is pinned to the start bar so I don't have to go far.

i have a ocean's 12 wallpaper on my desktop :)
and a bunch of junk. I'm a mess when it goes about making folders etc... I love the small icon bar on the mac osx though, it's vertical here :D
