I can't find the Index.html page. Am I supposeto create one? When I open FTP surfer, there's nothing in my site. The only way I can do to upload my stuff is to create a folder to put my stuff in. So it's like this, say I want to upload galleries and I create a galleries folder. Would that make the link of my galleries site like this? www.mydomain.com/Galleries/page1.html? What if I want to create something w/o the fodler? like, www.mydomain.com/page1.html?

no, I thought when we create a folder/profile that's the folder on your site (www.domainname.com/folder/) is that right?
Something I don't understand, I've just read a few tutorial on FTP, it sounds like the folder/profile we first create( require username and password) isn't the kind of folder I'm talk about (www.domainname.com/folder/) or is it?
How can I view the stuff that I upload anyway? I tried to double click but it didn't work. It show up this page and then say page not found.

When you first log into your FTP account (with a paid host) you should see a set of folders, stuff like public_html, www, etc, mail, blah blah.

When you double click 'public_html, www' or the like you should be able to start uploading. If you upload a file there in the root folder (www or pub_html) it'll show up as yourdomain.com/thefile.html. If you create a folder INSIDE the public_html/www folder it'll be yourdomain.com/FOLDER 1/file.html.

If you're on a paid hosting account and you dont see any folders when you first log into your account (via ftp) you'll either have to A. contact your host or B. try a different FTP program.

When I try to log in my account(wich I thought it was a folder) it ask for B]name[/B], addess, username, password and stuff like that. On the NAME, what should I put? I put my username in it. Then when I create another account with a different name (would that be my sub-domain?) how's the url going ot be like? Ok like I create another acount and name it "other" then would the url of the stuff I download on the "Other" account look like this? www.mydomain.com/Other/blahblah.html?

In my account there are only two folder mainwebsite_html and mainwebsite_cgi. I need to upload my stuff in those fodler right?

How to I view my files?
