I have DSL and it wouldn't even load the whole way for me, it said there was an error with loading the page.

You might need a second opinion though because it may just be that my internet is acting up.

I changed my computer to 800x600 and didn't get a horizontal scrollbar on your site -- the header fit perfectly -- so no, I wouldn't say it's too big.

Personally, I don't have dialup, but your header is 66 kb and isn't an incredibly big image. Since it doesn't seem to have that many colors, gif image format (or perhaps jpg) might be more useful in this situation. You might want to play around with the compression in your image program to get one that still looks good but isn't quite that big.

I'm on broadband and it loaded really fast and smoothly for me. Nice site.
