Hi I've just bought a host and a domain name. they mention somehting about propagation. It's like, I have to wait till the propagation to be complete inorder to use my domain. I want to ask what is propagation is about? I emailed them and ask when will it be finish and they say this "I assume you've entered the nameservers that were in the setup email into
your domain registar. From the time you did it takes 24-72 hours for a
domain to propagate. Thanks."

i havent heard of the term "propagate" before, but essentially...

1. host space account
2. domain name registration account

those are the two things you have.

you should have received a set of numbers from your host space account. these numbers represent the exact space (on the whole internet) where your site is located.

log onto your domain name registration account and find out where to enter those numbers.

within a couple of days (propagation period??) the domain name will be hooked up to your website space.

voila, done deal.

Yes 'to propagate' is to basically have the domain setup at the appointed nameservers. :) Your host should give you a temporary IP address so you can start logging into your account and uploading files.
