Alrighty... I've searched Google for it, looked through the Script-Fu, and tried different effects, but I can't seem to find anything...
I'm making a banner for a website, or...remaking it aaaand I'm looking for a way to make text look "emblazoned". Does anyone have any tips or advice on how to do this?

I think GIMP doesn't feature such a tool... :/ but I might be wrong... it would help if you could post an exact example of what you are looking for... :)

I don't quite understand what is meant by "emblazoned (http://dictionary.reference.com/search?q=emblazoned)", but if it's what I think it might be, then it certainly is possible... But yes, please clarify.

You know the way the Ring in Lord of the Rings looked after Gandalf had thrown it into the fire? (http://www.theonering.net/movie/preview/fotr_trailer03.html - second image down). I'd like to make text look like that, except blue in color over the background of the image... Sort of inscribed....? Is that possible? (http://www.luthersgeist.org/graphics/banner.jpg - the original banner...if that helps).
Thanks!

Well, that's what I have now, and I did that cheating with Script-Fu. I'd like to change the way the banner looks now to make the text look inscribed in the banner, but not necessarily glowing or bright...and it has to be a light blue or grey.
I'll try playing around with that, though... Thanks!
