Can anyone help me?

I have built my website and I have used FrontPage.

I have used the function to call in my top and left hand navigation menus so I don't have to update every page ...

Insert-Web Component-Page-Page Content

Now when I go to edit a page I get the message:

"The contents of a FrontPage component have been modified. These contents will be overwritten when you save this page"

I okay this and when I finally save my page- FrontPage has added borders around the page content I have included ?????

Anyone help me with this please - I am completely frustrated now!! :-)

that is why it is bad to use frontpage or any other "easy" webpage maker. they have a mind of their own.

if possible, do not OK that warning.

if possible, just use notepad or another text editor to actually do your work and use your browser program to view/test your work.

this is why Lissa's site and other tutorial/help sites are around, to help you break free of those bad editors.

Thanks for the tip on not using FrontPage but I am used to it now and it is a darn site quicker than html.... I have also got access to DreamWeaver but haven;t started on that yet ...

Can anyone solve my problem with FrontPage please??? I must OK the box when it appears ...

then use dreamweaver. You can just open your .html files into that program aswell and continue with it.

But really, don't use them. They insert nasty codes etc that are unwanted. When you code in notepad, you can control the whole coding process. And yes frontpage goes quicker, but if it gives better results? not really... they are as bad as pagebuilders
