(i do this on geocities) zangerbanger 04-23-2003, 02:50 AM well, you go to the upload section and click browse. It will give you your entire hardrive. Search until you find CONTROL PANEL. Once you've found that, you'll find a folder called fonts. Search inside fonts and pick the one to upload. Then you upload it! peachy3 04-23-2003, 03:06 AM yeah, i tried that before, but it won't let me upload .ttf files.....oh well i guess i cant do that then..... Shaneo 04-23-2003, 03:28 AM I think geocities supports .zip files don't they?? You could zip it up, then upload and it should work.. Most font sites, i have noticed zip up their fonts then upload then rather than just uploading the font file itself.. Dude128 04-23-2003, 03:29 AM you could zip the font file, link to the .zip, and just instruct people to unzip it before installing the font- I think most font downloads are usually zipped anyway :) pb&j 04-23-2003, 03:29 AM you may need a bit more explaination after this... but put the font file into a "zip" file. you can then upload the zip file and link to that. the visitor will download the zip file, unzip it, and install the font if desired. winzip is a popular zipping program to use. zip is basically a compressed file format. it is similar to a regular folder on your computer, but kinda different. Not eveyone uses XP you know  ;) peachy3 04-23-2003, 03:54 AM how would i zip the font file? Shaneo 04-23-2003, 04:06 AM It depends on ur OS.. Do u have XP or 98? peachy3 04-23-2003, 04:08 AM i have Windows ME MaGiCSuN 04-23-2003, 05:13 PM go into winzip. click on the "wizard" button. Choose for the option "zip a new file" or something similar to that (it's the last one) Then type in a name you want the .zip file to be named. Then click "next". Then go to C:\Windows\fonts and search for your font. double click on it so that it will appear in the list from the winzip program. Click "next" again (or "zip now") and the program will begin to zip it. After it's finished you can exit the program and upload your .zip file to the web Love, Mirna |
