View Full Version : Starbucks
Silence4me2 11-27-2004, 04:21 PM Does n e one have a Starbucks near by where u stay? Well I really wanna know if you go there. Cuz I never been there and I don't wanna look clueless when I order. lol I always wanted to get something from there. What is your fave Starbucks drink? I wanna make a list. My cuz told me of one she likes but I forgot. When I make coffee I always pack on the french vanilla creamer. I wanna try a Frappuccino.
there is about 3 near us. those places are almost as abundant as McDonalds.
i like to go for a mocca myself. i like chocolate.
perhaps try something in the "festive" season. i think they have a gingerbread tasting one.
just go in and say... "hmm... which one today?" take a good look at the board and go from there. nothing clueless bout it, just go with the flow.
Silence4me2 11-27-2004, 05:07 PM I might hold up the line but oh well.
Dude128 11-27-2004, 05:40 PM I have one in the lobby of my building :P and there are like 4 others on campus- but they aren't real Starbucks, they're campus places that serve Starbucks coffees and such. and I've never been to any of them :P
and there are a couple fairly close to where I live. and I haven't been to either :P
I'm not big on coffee, can anyone tell? :P
Magln Meow 11-27-2004, 05:48 PM I had only one mocca (decaf) at Starbucks. It was the Double Chocolate Chip it was soooooooooooo good. I want more!!!
StarryIlove 11-27-2004, 06:42 PM We have one just opened up by me. I like the frappucino's and will usually have a latte or a hot chocolate. Sometimes a mocha or cappucino.
But for real coffee lovers starbucks just doesn't cut it. Maybe American ones are different but here it's too weak. I like Cafe Nero or there is this other place I can't member the name of. GOOD COFFEE!
I get hyper over coffee cos I'm not sposed to drink it so I can only have it now and then!
salomeyasobko 11-27-2004, 07:07 PM i rarely go to starbucks bc i don't really drink coffee much [anymore :P] and i have no money but.. i usually get a carmel frapp.
kittycat 11-27-2004, 10:33 PM Only time I've ever gotten anything Starbucks was in the airport in Toronto, I got some mocha thing (can't remember exactly) but it was good. We don't have them around here except in Chapters (and then the closest one I know of is London...)
Owlie42 11-28-2004, 02:47 AM There's a Starbucks within walking distance of my house. I love the Frappucinos. Anything else, I couldn't tell you. I usually get the Tazo Chai.
Peter 11-28-2004, 09:00 AM It's my favorite coffee place when i am in the usa.
on our united airlines flight we got starbucks too:)
my favorite coffee is the cappucino and the frappucino
ratch26 11-28-2004, 03:40 PM in the city where i live there is six, apparently its a sign that a place is quite 'up and coming' when there is a star bucks nearby, is that true? lol
i love their hot chocolates and moca's, star bucks is a great place to meet friends and the seats, oh the seats, lol, a home from home :lolol:
Silence4me2 11-28-2004, 04:19 PM Ok now I need to make my list. =) *grabs paper and pen*
aerith86 12-01-2004, 12:40 AM ---> Caramel machiatto!!! <---
YUM!
Munchkin 12-01-2004, 01:03 AM There's a Starbucks five minutes away from my school :P on nice days, sometimes we go down there and get something :D I don't like coffee, but I love frappacinos (spelling?) and i'm addicted  I get something not too coffee-ful, a Strawberries and Cream or when I'm feeling like something stronger, I get the fall special Pumpkin and Spice frap or something like that. Just say what you want :P
There is none in my area. What i know is it's pricey. And another problem, I can't drink coffee. :(
sebluver 12-02-2004, 10:33 PM Only thing I have to say is to remember that the tall is really a small. I had a conversation go wrong.
Me: I'll have a small caramel mocha.
Lady: Okay, so that's a tall caramel mocha?
Me: No, a SMALL caramel mocha.
Lady: I know.
Munchkin 12-03-2004, 01:09 AM ^ yeah, I had that happen to me too :P I was so embarassed...my conversation went:
Me: Can I please have a small frappecino? (I can't remember what kind)
Dude: One tall frap coming up.
Me: Um, I want a small, please.
Dude: Yes I know, you want a tall frappecino.
Me: No, I want a SMALL frappecino.
Dude: Yes, a tall.
Me: But...but...
Eventually I clued in that a tall was a small, but boy was it embarrasing standing there arguing with the Starbucks guy! It's funny now, but then......*runs away*
sebluver 12-03-2004, 07:57 PM Exactly! And since tall sounds like small in a crowded Starbucks, you keep thinking that they're just continually mishearing you, when, in reality, they get exactly what you're saying.
