MaGiCSuN 11-09-2004, 01:18 PM the gimp i heard is also pretty good http://www.gimp.org/ otherwise try a search on the forum for "free graphic program" Love, Mirna chazvik 11-09-2004, 06:06 PM jasc paint shop pro is a good free graphic program it helps me out a lot download a free trial form www.jasc.com faithinhim 11-24-2004, 06:35 PM Gimp is a very good program. I'd definitely recommend it. You can also use Pixia which is available for download at http://www.webattack.com/get/pixia.html --Sarah Jared 11-24-2004, 07:24 PM GIMP is rather hard to set up, it all has to be compiled and junk like that. Stick with another if you have no clue about programming, unless of course there is a full version out there with a .exe file to install it that I missed. MaGiCSuN 11-24-2004, 09:17 PM the gimp just installs like any other program. So i really have no idea where you got that from then :) Love, Mirna tokyo bleu 11-25-2004, 01:44 AM the gimp just installs like any other program. Yes, I agree. It was very easy for me to install GIMP. Sure, the file names might sound confusing, but if you go to where they tell you to, you'll have it set up in no time. It's just a matter of reading instructions properly. Jared 11-25-2004, 05:20 AM From GIMP's main website, there was no installer in any of the files I downloaded. I didn't want to sit there and change tons of files just to install it. I am just lazy I guess. :D zetsubou 11-26-2004, 05:23 PM GIMP is rather hard to set up, it all has to be compiled and junk like that. The gimp.org website does indeed only distribute the source code, which does have to be compiled. BUT they also link to alternatives (i.e. for Windows they link the WinGIMP SF page (gimp-win.sourceforge.net/), which does have an installer); you do not have to compile it if you do not want to. MaGiCSuN 11-26-2004, 08:28 PM that's why i had no idea why you had problems with installing the gimp :P now i figured it out haha :) Sinem 11-30-2004, 05:04 PM I used ulead photo express for a long time and it was pretty good to start with.. if I look back now it is... well.. whatever... but as a starter I'd defenitly try it. you should find it on google... and it's free of course... horse*chica 12-01-2004, 03:56 AM bah, i messed up on this reply, and am unable to delete it. sorry :-/ |
