I used the hand cut-out tool today and cut out my face and planned on putting it over someone else...I pasted my face onto the other guys face, but it was in a white box, so I unchecked the Draw Opaque option and what that did was turn the black transparent and kept the white. I clicked undo, and cut my face out of the picture, and then I right clicked on the white box on the color selector. Then I repasted my face on and made sure Draw Opaque was still unchecked...It was. The black was still transparent and the white was still there. I am getting ticked off, because all I want is white to be transparent, and not black! Ahh! And please, don't attack me with "Paint sucks, download something else." I realize that there are other programs out there, but I am able to complete everything I want done in Paint, and before the transparency would take out the white...This does happen often though, but it just goes back to normal...But then later out of nowhere it does it again...

That's really weird, sorry. I know and agree that Paint's a good program, but maybe you should find something else or get your computer checked for bugs or something.

You're sure the selected background color was white?

Exactly, what tells me that white is the selected background color?

That happened to me also! If it's a square or rectangle shaped object, then you select that area, right click, and select 'Clear Selection' (don't forget to have WHITE as your second color). If it still doesn't work, you've got a really strange problem! :)
