View Full Version : PSP9 Brushes? icee_jasmine 11-05-2004, 10:30 PM Does anyone know a site with swirl-like PSP9 brushes? I've searched google and spotted no sites at all... webgirl 11-05-2004, 11:56 PM Well hardly anybody uses psp9,most people use psp7(but I use psp8) so I don't think you'll find any. But I have 2 ideas, maybe psp7 or 8 brushs work with psp9 or making your own out of a curly/swirly font. Sorry i'm, not much help. xxsweetchica 11-06-2004, 05:38 AM Well hardly anybody uses psp9,most people use psp7(but I use psp8) so I don't think you'll find any. I have PSP 7 on my other computer...but it's not hooked up :(. I really need it too...PSP9 is SO SLOW! (complain) and when I click on something it will freeze for a few minutes..then GRR Is PSP7 not available for download anymore?! :'(. Rosey 11-06-2004, 05:59 AM my psp 9 doesn't freeze up, it may be your computer. Have you ran spyware removal software. raeanne 11-06-2004, 09:47 AM Hi, You can still buy version 7 at the jasc store on ebay for around $39 or get it even cheaper from a private seller. Previous version brushes will work in v9 it's just a matter of importing them. Of course if you use v7 they will not be as big since they are 250x250 instead of 500x500. Here are 2 links that might help: Oblation (http://oblation.lifelibraries.com/brushes/paint_shop_pro/8/index.php) Jens (http://www.inxplicable.org/design/mybrushes.html) And as for being slow, check for spyware as Rosey said but also you might try defrag and turning off programs running in the background. You might even try re-installing it. Adding ram is always a good bet, but not always cost effective. And also in case you don't already know it is best not to keep any of your added plugins, brushes, shapes, etc in the PSP program files. Put them somewhere else on your harddrive and use sub folders so that when PSP starts or loads each new tool it doesn't have to slog through all of them. HTH xxsweetchica 11-06-2004, 03:10 PM ..This is a new computer though O.o It has 1.5ghz 528mb of ram and LOADS of free space like 68.something gb.. And it did it on my old computer too (which is even slower that computer doesn't even come close to these system specs...that's why I got it :) ). I have SpySweeper on my computer but it's telling me to reinstall it..although it works on the other account...but I don't think it's getting rid of the spyware on my login...because my internet was fast the first few days..and now it's just dragging alittle bit :(. *Kicks computer* Rosey 11-06-2004, 04:47 PM get adaware and spybot, both free. Empty all your temp files too. MaGiCSuN 11-06-2004, 11:53 PM edited: ack i should read more carefully, someone allready told that the brushes from older version should work in newer ones :P how do you know hardly anybody ever uses psp9? it was not the question anywayz. i myself think more people use psp8 over psp7 since psp7 is pretty old nowdays. But let's not get into that Rosey 11-07-2004, 05:11 PM i like psp9, not much dif from psp8. I downloaded some of those brushes and imported them, worked fine in psp9. xxsweetchica 11-10-2004, 10:44 PM i like psp9, not much dif from psp8. I downloaded some of those brushes and imported them, worked fine in psp9. Ok..where do you find the brushes in psp9? It's nothing like PSP7 and that's what I'm use to, and it's easier..because all you do is click on this white and blue little graphic, and then you click custom and it brings the brushes up, now I've clicked on the brush tool and I have NO idea where to find the brushes I've installed :(. Please help? Much appreciated :). **EDIT** Nevermind hehe..I found it XD. I'am such a dork..I was thinking maybe if I right clicked on the brush, instead of that arrow it might come up? And it did lol. xxsweetchica 11-10-2004, 11:04 PM Ahhh Ok, I found the brushes..but it won't let me use them O.o it just shows a graphic picture of them...why!? Rosey 11-10-2004, 11:38 PM well you select your paint brush tool and then on the options menu for that tool, there is a drop down menu, that's where you select the brush and you can use it there. (i think, i don't have psp open right now) |
