I've seen so many hand-made AIM icons that have at least 10 frames to them, but when I try and create my own with PSP and Animation shop, I cannot seem to get the file to a manageable size for AIM!

Even with all of the settings the lowest they will go, and using only black and white, AIM will not allow me to upload an icon that is more than 2 frames.

My question is: how do these people create detailed, involved 10+ frame icons that AIM accepts, but I cannot create even a 3 frame simple one that it will take? Is there a trick to this?

It depends on what the max file upload limit is wherever you're uploading your icons and stuff.

If it's over the size of the image you should try decompressing it somehow. Other than i dont know as i haven't had this problem myself.
