View Full Version : Regluar TV, Satellite TV or Cable TV? SUPER RP06 10-20-2004, 10:52 PM Do you prefer Regular TV, Satellite TV or Cable TV? salomeyasobko 10-20-2004, 10:59 PM we have direct TV.. we get it for free because the company my mom works for works w/ their satellites. i love it! and we'd probably pay for even if it weren't free for us, since it costs the same amount as cable.. and we've gotten so used to it ! starlet 10-21-2004, 12:45 AM I only have regular TV, 5 channels....i'm so deprived  Monkey Bizzle 10-21-2004, 01:07 AM we have digital cable, which is like satelite, except we can still watch tv when it's cloudy LOL kittycat 10-21-2004, 01:59 AM Satellite, I like how if I miss something when it's on at the regular time, I can tape it 3 hours later if it's on a west coast channel :P I don't like how they keep switching around the channel lineup though... just did it recently and I still haven't figured out where everything is. The only thing I miss about our old 5-channel regular tv is that we used to watch Jeopardy practically every night, now I'm lucky if it's oncee a week :P Valkyrie 10-21-2004, 02:18 AM We recently switched to Satellite Tv from Digital cable. I dont like it to much; some channels are 3 hours earlier. I guess for late night shows its fine, because they come on earlier, but for shows that come on the afternoon, I'll miss them because I'm still in school. :s I miss my digital cable. sisqoluv 10-21-2004, 03:08 PM Satellite! A lot of my channels have both coasts, so if I find something I like that has already started (or I miss it), I can just wait three hours and watch it on my regular time. A few of my channels are only Eastern time, but I got used to those (plus I can watch things that come on later earlier). Chris 10-21-2004, 03:25 PM I only have regular TV, 5 channels....i'm so deprived  Think yourself lucky! My Gran doesn't even get channel 5! It doesn't get reception where she lives. Its annoying whenever I go and see her that there are only 4 channels. I suppose I should be chatting to her rather than watching TV though  Chris SizzZzlinhair 10-21-2004, 04:54 PM I used to have cable, then when I moved we switched to satellite.. and let me tell ya that both of them have their ups and downs. Satellite doesn't work AT ALL in storms, but I love that you can pause and rewind and fast forward and tape things like TiVo. Cable didn't give me channels like Noggin(and I need my Degrassi! :D) and the people that worked for it were mean and never wanted to come and fix it when it broke :P I think I'm likin satellite better. Oh but another disadvantage-- you can only get 2 signals, so we have to watch the same thing in the basement as the kitchen. Sometimes that's annoying. AiJahya 10-21-2004, 10:19 PM Sattelite for me. :D maztrin 07-03-2005, 05:46 PM i have freeview - which i think is digital, but it uses cable - im not too sure about that! SUPER RP06 07-03-2005, 05:49 PM Maztrin, how do you bring up this thread? This thread was from October of 2004! |
