Right now, I currently do web design for work at home moms and other small buisnesses in my area. Id really like to be able to offer hosting as well, so its an all in one sort of thing, but I have NO idea how you would even begin to do this. When I do searches all I come up with is hosting. Does anyone know where I can go for resources on this, or explain to me exactly how this works or I could go about offering hosting to my clients? Thanks!

well some options are: you could get a reseller or your own server, depends on your needs. I think its also possible to make your own server using your computer but you would have to leave it on 24/7 and if problems happen you would have to fix it yourself

You can:
Get a server (expenisve)
Become a reseller by buying the package at another host
Become a hostee, and buy the hosting package and give hosting away for free
You can search for "resellers" or look at hosting companies for "reseller" options.

You could get a decent sized hosting account, and host your customers with addon domains using cPanel. I know it sounds confusing, but it is rather quite easy, and cheaper than a reseller account or a server.
Contact Jason @ info@pixehost.com and i am sure he can explain it better than I could.

I think getting a reseller is better than just a large hosting package because if you just get webhosting the people's domains you are hosting will not get cpanel access, whereas with reseller you can set out how much space/bandwidth they each get.

Incorrect, you can give users cPanel access with a addon domain in cPanel

Yeah! I perferred reseller because it is easier and more setting for you to chose from
