When submitting something to a website, do you prefer to fill out a form that will then be automatically e-mailed to the webmaster or just to send the same information yourself to the webmaster?'
Thanks. =)

I like forms better, just because some people dont have a default email program and the form allows them to send email. Also, it allows for a more structured email than regular.

i concur.
it also provides a focused type of information rather than a lot of gobbledy goop yadda yadda stuff. (the user will fill in your desired answers on first submital.)

I like forms, because for the email you don't even know who sent it unless the person put down their email. With forms, you can have a section where they HAVE to put in their email!

There is a security aspect to this as well. When using forms, the user can't get the email address of the person the information is being sent to. Good especially for beating SPAM bots.
I prefer forms, it maintains a more professional look on the web-site than just a mailto:address@email.com.
