I would probably say Fireworks, but not too sure, they're both excellent, but Fireworks integrates qte well with the rest of studio mx

I would say Photoshop. I have used both programs and I think that Photoshop is easier to use. Also, if you do a search for help with Photoshop vs. Fireworks... you can always seem to find more help with Photoshop cause more people seem to know how to use it. My Visual Design Theory teacher said that Photoshop is the number one program used by graphic designers.

i have to disagree with you there, i find FW easier to use. and yes it does intergrate well with studio. I find that phtotshop can be trick and fiddly. i was able to teach myself FW but not photoshop!!!

ive never heard of fireworks, but i say photoshop is better. :rolleyes:

for some reason i never touch photoshop anymore (only for making layouts for personal use) haha i always work with illustrator. But if i had to choose i'd say photoshop cs yep simply because i have never used fireworks.

other: also PSP, I used to have Serif Photoplus (its free) but it's nothing compared to PSP.. lol

I like Photoshop.... But I have never used Fireworks.

I was able to teach myself Photoshop when I was 12. and I remembered it all I am very proud that I can use it and do some pretty neat things with it.

I recommend photoshop. I've never used Fireworks before and all I know that with photoshop, there's a lot of things you can do with it when it comes to graphic design. and it's fun to play with it. hehe.

I like Photoshop as well. It has better features than Fireworks.

I voted for Photoshop. its the only graphix software i use (from the choices) besides psp.

Rarely have I seen a "versus" between Photoshop CS and Fireworks. It's always Photoshop vs. Paint Shop Pro.

I actually prefer The Gimp, it doesn't have the full functionality of PS, but it does have a color select and pancil brush which gives hard lines. That and it's free!

I think Photoshop is best if you are doing print media and Fireworks if you are doing web design. Fireworks is really user-friendly. That said, I have absolutely no experience with Photoshop, so take this post with a grain of salt. :)
