I've gotten php fanbase installed and all ready to go. My problem is, when my members join, i want the page they go to to say 'Thank you' or something. How do I do this? Do I need to use an echo? And if so, can someone tell me where in the code it should sit?

It should already be attached to your join.php form. If you scroll down then you'll see it. You might not be able to see the text (on the actual site when you send in the form) because it's being covered - depending upon your layout. I'm having the same problem ^_^
