I like mine, but I wouldn't be too upset if I didn't have one. I just think they add charactor.

They're more of a way to personalize, if that's the right word. Like when the mods all switch avatars to pull a joke on us? You think it's a certain person because of their avatar, not their username. I love mine, but they're not something to power post for.

when i first joined i REALLY wanted one, and posted when ever i could but not im not that crazed about it, like i still want one but i can wait till i reach 500.

I remember back a while ago when we didn't need 500 for an avatar O_O -points to avatar-

I didn't really speed to post to get my av I don't see the point. If you don't post that often once you get your avatar then it was pointless speed posting for! It is nice to be able to personalise your ID a bit more though. Tells you something of a person (The avatar that is)

Heh yea I dont like ppl that spam and post heaps just to get a certain number of posts, I'm a mod on another forum so that's probly why :P Anyway I'm not gonna spam to get it again, I just miss my one :( *kicks himself*

i think i sped for a while, it took me a while to get 500 because i was very active, then this summer ok it took 14 months to get 1100 posts then took me like 20 days this summer to get 100 posts...and earlier today i just hit lucky 1300 lol....i need a new avatar i just made this the other day in paint because i was bored lol

on some of my other fourums that i go to there are like avatar wars going on for the best avatar. theyre okay but im not that bothered

Well, I don't really like the idea that you have to post 500 to get your own avatar. Some forum they just let you upload your own avatar without any condition.
