and it says i need this 'ftp' thing. what is that?? can someone help me!!
i am really confused and i dont know how to work on my domain or anything...

ftp is a file transfer protocol program.
this topic is discussed alot in the forums.
try a forum search on WS FTP or Smart FTP or just FTP.

i just realized something. on the e-mail they sent me when i bought the domain thingy (one2host.com) they said this:

You must now point your domain name to our servers, this is vital as your domain name will not work on our systems until you have made these changes to your domain name. To do this, please contact the company you purchased the domain name from and ask them to make the following changes to your domain name. Please note that these changes will take about 48-72hrs to take effect ( spread through the net )

and then it has two code things or something and i dont know what to do with them... im confuuuuuused!

i mean im still confused and i still need help with that last issue!

1. visit the site you purchased your domain name from.
2. log into your account there.
3. there should be a place to enter those two lines of code. they are called nameserver numbers.

basically...

your domain name is like a name sign on the front of your house.

the nameserver numbers are like the address of your house.

your host and domain name provider share this information so everyone in the world can type in a domain name and find the address for it.

the domain name registrar is like a postal outlet. it will send visitors to the address if it knows what the address is.

ok, so i logged into one2host.com
The only place i could find to go was the control panel from "server administrator" and I am not finding where to put the nameserver code thingies

did you buy your domain name from there or just your webspace or both?

there should be an option to enter it somewhere. check the FAQ or HELP area of the domain name site and then you can find the specific place to put the numbers, or at the very least a support email to send a letter to.

im pretty sure i got both domain and space.
