I have been working on web designing for a while now, but i still dont know how to make good layouts >:-( so can someone tell me how to make a layout similar to the one here? www.slurbia.com

Practice. Thats the only thing I have to say is practice! Practice until you can't anymore. Then keep on going. Everyone started out how you did.

That layout is made with tables, and ALLOT of cells.

She just made the haed image, and the boxes (the yellow ones) and sliced them up and put them in a table.

don't think that you can make something like that in a week from learning HTML. I had to learn one year of HTML till i could make something decent (not even good, but decent). I think now after 2 years i have made my first 'good' layout in all those days. Really it takes time, and patient. Also "reading" and "tutorials" are two keywords with this hehe. Reading is very important, if you read carefully then most of the stuff youw ill be able to do yourself.
