im not sure with this but what does "Chmod the file, entries.db, to 666" mean? How do i do that? Coz im tryna make a guestbook and it requires php so yea i dunnO what that means. Can somebody explain how that works to me? Please.

chmod is uploading a file with a certain number that gives a code to your FTP program to upload it in a special way (other then the normal' uploading' way)

Maybe if you could post the name of your FTP program we can give you asite , or you can search on www.google.com for chmod tutorial {nameftpprogramhere}

but what if you dont have a FTP program or you dont use it? will it still work?

no, for files that are required to be chmoded, you must chmod them using an FTP program

If you need an ftp program use cuteftp, it's very easy to change the chmod on there.

All you have to do if right click the file and type in the number.
