i know all you of are more creative than i am, so i'm gonna ask you guys for help :buckt: today my drama teacher told us this INDIVIDUAL project that we must do for the class. basically, what i have to do is..pick a song that has no profanity in it, and sorta just..act to the song. for example, my teacher told us last year that there was this girl who pretended to be a janitor, so she was sweeping the floor with the broom..and as the song got more "exciting" she pretended that the broom was a guitar and played air guitar..she jumped on tables and everthing. so yeah do any of you guys have ideas for a song and what i can do?

when i was in middle school i did something like that to the song Seether by Veruca Salt... me and my friend acted out a fight scene to that song.

Yeah...I'm taking a class called "Interpretive Speaking," or "Dramatic Interpretation" in which we are all the characters in a portion of text from classic literature. We move from side to side for each character...it's pretty cool. You could do something like that if you needed more characters ;) If you search for "Interpretive Speaking" or "Dramatic Interpretation" you may find something more on it. Or you can ask me any questions you have :)

thanks for the ideas guys! i'll make a list of options and just pick from one later on =). i wanted to do something really silly and funny..but i really dont know what. lol

hmm does anyone know any funny songs? any kind? oldies..country..anything? i need to pick a song to start with lol.

... Maybe something by the Beatles? Their music is uber fun!! "Hard Days Night"... Something, look the music up... OR... Elvis!! What's a good Elvis song? "A Little Less Conversation"? Just some thoughts!! :D

I did something similar to that. But we didn't use a song, rather, we wrote a poem about patterns and we acted it out in front of everyone. They called it the "Dramatic Monologue".
What you can do is to choose a song from the 80's or earlier 'coz they have less ore no profanity. Then, read the song like a poem and absorb its meaning. Once you get the meaning, you'll be able to act it out easily. Ü
