hey everyone :)

i would love you if you could help me with this. you see, i am making an Evanescence fansite. i am SO BUSY right now with school and colorguard and things are crazy. up to my eyes in homework. i also have to find time to squeeze in working on the site. i am working with someone who is the message board admin and her brother has a hosting service and can provide plenty of free space for us. but she is kind of impatient about my lack of work on the site. i dont just sit in front of a computer all day long like her! i have school and im in a world class guard. so i am trying to get cracking on the site, but i am having a problem that is keeping me from continuing on the site. i am using Microsoft Front Page to make it because i cant download anything else and Notepad is just scary. i am trying to make this scroll box. if you go to www.evanescence.com and click on "News", you will see this box that scrolls and has a background and stuff. that is what i want, but a friend said that can only be done in Flash, and i cant download that! but i found THIS (http://www.w3schools.com/html/tryit.asp?filename=tryhtml_iframe) at HTML examples. that is what i want, except i want to add a smoky effect around it, which i would have to do in PSP7. i dont know where to start. can someone please help me out? im stuck lol. i dont want a bunch of frames, so i want to do the neato inline frame. thanks so much!

~Jo girl :)

EDIT: the smoky effect is around the picture at my site barelyconscious.co.uk

you can learn about inline frames on this page...

i would highly suggest using notepad instead of FrontPage.
in the long run (usually short run too) it will provide to be much nicer.

frontpage creates really sloppy coding. you could try to work with it in notepad, but the errors and stuff would be too much to overcome. it would be best to start fresh and blank.

when you are ready to learn, start at the beginning and work your way through...
