Hello, I'm wondering about copyrighting my website. Can I just put the copyright date and other copyright information on the page - without having it legally registered at the US Copyright Office, or anywhere else?
Thanks.

Hello, There's a really great page for that if you're living in the USA:
http://creativecommons.org/ look for 'licenses' and check if that is what you're looking for.

Just have it so when they click the "copyright" link, it brings them to a page that tells them NO TOUCHIES! That should probably keep alot of people from stealing your ideas...I think.

anything you publish (including on the Internet) is automatically copyrighted. one suggestion I've seen before is printing all your content, and mailing it to yourself, without opening the envelope. the postmark date will prove when you had your content, should any disputes arise :)
