Which do you prefer or reccomend, HTML or XHTML? I know for a fact that if you use XHTML for a while before converting back to HTML, you will learn to use neat coding and it will become a habit! However, in XHTML it seems to remove the rights of IE 5.5 and up by not letting you color your scrollbar. so which do you prefer/reccomend and why?

either way, you should learn how to code correctly and "strictly".

xhtml is just taking html to the next level. it is the future.

people who have been "at it" coding for a while are going the xhtml route.

as your question states though... it is a matter of preference.
