this is for anyone who uses a phpbb forum..

how can i prune a forum and keep a back-up of my files on a different server?

I believe there is an option in the admin control panel to backup the database. you should just be able to use that to download a .zip file of all the necessary files, which you could then keep on your computer as a bacckup or upload elsewhere.

rather than start a new thread...

how bout if i wanted to not bother pruning it. but keep old files on a differnet server so they would still be available to the user?
