first of all, take a deep breath....

does this happen to all the pictures you try to scan? Have you tried just scanning it with the software they give you with the scanner?

Are you sure the scanner top is clean?

*sry rosey*

umm yes the scanner top is clean and it happens with most of the pictures and when I scan it with the program it came with, it still comes out some what the same...not as much, though.

Have you turned off the scanner since this problem started?

A while ago, my family had a problem with our scanner; it kept turning all the pictures greenish, with scan lines. My dad called the company and they said to turn it off, unplug it from the wall AND the PC, count to 60, plug it back in, and wait 30 seconds before turning it on. And it worked! The problem was something about the scanner getting confused . . . I never understood it. Try something like that and see if it helps.

Also, you said it happens with MOST of the pictures . . . does that mean that some come out all right? If so, did you scan them at the same time as the others, or was there something different about the way you scanned them?

Thnx Luzee12. I did what you said, but it didn't quite work, it some what came out the same EXCEPT it did come out a bit more clear :-)

I'm think I'm going to do that, I'm going to E-mail Lexmark and tell them about the problem I'm having. Everything else is working out fine except the scanner. So I'm going to tell them and hopefully they'll write me back :-)
