I am using paint shop pro 7 and I wanna save the avatar I made as a gif but when I do it looks kinda blurry and what not. How would I set the settings so it saves really nice and smooth?

If it is animated, I'm not really sure, but I would suggest having fewer frames or just try to lessen the amount of detail a little bit. I hope this helps. Have a nice day! :) squalls_dreams 08-23-2004, 09:29 AM a png? aight I will try that and get back to ya raeanne 08-23-2004, 01:12 PM Try opening it up in Animation shop and saving it there. Sometimes this preserves the image and transparencies even though it is not animated. Just choose the default settings. and FYI images with lots of colors are best saved as jpgs. I'm not sure but I think that they are Thanks Chris SSPrincess 08-24-2004, 01:51 PM I would have to disagree with you there - are .png's not better quality? I'm not sure but I think that they are Thanks ChrisYes, you're right. .png's are better quality, much better! I use them it for nearly all of the drawings I do, because the quality stays exactly the way I want it. The only problem with .png's is that it doesn't show well on some internet versions, but I haven't run into any problems. I think I read some where that .jpg's where originally ment to save photos or something like that, and I prefer not to use them because they'll make my colors blur. I hope this helps. Have a nice day! :) raeanne 08-24-2004, 06:48 PM Yes you are correct, png are better quality but since they are not widely supported as yet jpg are the way to go (at least for the time being) |
