LesPaul59 08-17-2004, 06:07 PM 27eab was a wowzers type one. I'm so glad you're ok!! :)
sebluver 08-17-2004, 06:09 PM Wow, that was..bad. We caught the edges of it and were on flood watch, which was amusing because we got a light rain (or at least, we got a light rain until I fell asleep, could've gotten worse after then). Glad you're all right!
Dude128 08-17-2004, 06:15 PM could've gotten worse after then
nope, haha :P
granted you're farther east than I am (but relatively close), but we didn't get much rain here at all. there was a flood watch out for most of the area, but I never pay attention to those because I live on a big hill :P
oh, and as for the pictures, ::stalks Sarah:: :P
Lil Sarah 08-17-2004, 06:41 PM Lol :p
[BEING STALKED]

salomeyasobko 08-17-2004, 08:37 PM eep scary!! yes i think the one mike pointed out was quite frightful! glad you're okay ;)
LesPaul59 08-17-2004, 08:58 PM It was definetly iffy on the rain. Heck my Grammie lives in FL in the southern end and didn't get a drop o' rain. We got heavy stuff in NY, and on the way back through NJ, but in PA, we got hammered most by ...was it Bonnie? It was the B one lol
westernrider 08-17-2004, 09:03 PM *gasp* Not the KFC chicken bucket!
jazzberry 08-17-2004, 09:37 PM Save the chicken!!!
I'm glad you guys are safe Sarah :)
thezeppzone 08-17-2004, 09:41 PM *gasp* Not the KFC chicken bucket!

lefty 08-17-2004, 09:50 PM 27e68 would freak me out. Imaging waking up to a tree outside your window that wasn't previously there?
Lil Sarah 08-17-2004, 09:57 PM Yeah, it was VERY scary. Thanks for your good wishes, guys.
lol yes, I felt so bad for the KFC bucket.
Sarah: "OMG MOM CAN WE TAKE IT HOME?"
Mom: "it wouldn't fit in our trunk :("
Shirl 08-17-2004, 10:11 PM ^LOL! ROTFL! :D :hehe:
oh my gosh, that is awful! Now I feel so lucky...
Makar 08-18-2004, 10:27 AM Yes, I'm a loser enough to take pictures >: D
Well, I'm a loser enough to take a look at every single one of them. ;)
I don't know why, but pictures like that fascinate me. Not because I'm all "Ooh, broken stuff! Total annihilation! Look at all the homeless people!" But you have to think "Whoa, I can't believe a storm can be this strong," to uproot trees and tear roofs off houses and stuff. I mean, that's something Mother Nature did herself, and you have to be in awe of her...l33t destruction skillz.
Glad you guys are alright, phew.
Monkey Bizzle 08-18-2004, 02:22 PM here in va, we only just get a lot of rain during hurricane season... maybe a little flooding at most. but last year hurrican isabelle/elizabeth ( i forgot the name of it... ) actually hit right off the coast of us so our area looked like those pictures... there were trees thru houses, stop lights on the ground and at the ocean front, lots of the stores' big glass windows were busted out from wind... almost everyone in hampton roads (my area which consists of about 7 cities) lost power for some period of time. my husband and i were without power for like 4 days but there were some areas who didn't get it back for like 2 or 3 weeks!!!! so... this year, when charlie came thru, they started taking all these big precautions and closing businesses and stuff that they should have done last year and all we got was rain...
Lil Sarah 08-18-2004, 03:48 PM Well, I'm a loser enough to take a look at every single one of them. ;)
