I had a gif that I edited in paint...now I'm trying to save it as a JPG but it keeps having color loss problems. Saving it as BMP or TIFF works, but I need it as a gif or jpg ...and both of these remove a lot of the color. Any suggestions? (I have PSP if that would help.)

save it as .tiff
then open it into psp (i hope that works) and save it there in .jpg with the image optimizer

file > export > jpg optimizer

or

file > export > gif optimizer

paint is good for pixelated image (meaninig images that have 200 colours or less) but i would suggest using PSP :)
