Current specs:

compaq p3/667/bus 133mhz

can I overclock it or not?

I need to know which brand of motherboard is in it,the bios is no help because there is not much I can change
I tried a different program but it froze up win98 for no reason
the program is called softfsb and it keeps asking which brand of motherboard I have...i know it is an intel 815 but nothing much else is written on the motherboard itself, only compaq, grrrr

I want it to run at 733 with a slight overclock for the bus speed of between 140-145 and about a 0,5 volt more....the cooler can handle it,i know this

can anybody help me out??

if all you need is the brand (no model), you could try using Compaq- I believe they manufacture their own. I know Dell does.

also, I believe older motherboards (which you might have with a p3/667) require that you use the physical settings (jumpers and such) on the motherboard. I don't think mine can be controlled with the software like newer ones, and I have some random Dell motherboard with a p3/450.

thanks dude128, there is a fixed compaq bios on the motherboard which means i can only change things that has nothing to do with the voltage or bus speed

i have to open up the case again and see if i can find more out,i read on hardocp.com that they overclocked a p4 3.06ht to 4.42....so if they can do it,so can I

flight simlator 2002 goes so slow on this thing.....don't have money either
