Grrr... I really want to be a writer and I hoped to be one but because of all the enviromental problems in the world now my heart's telling me to become an ecologist. I can't not listen because I do care about the enviroment but I wish all those problems didn't exist. Stupid Earth-destroying life-stealing idiots that pollute with their giant venomous machines and factories! I know we need machines and factories but make them Earth-friendly or you'll be killing yourselves and starting thewar for water that'll kill millions!

At the time when these factories were made, no one knew what enviroment-safe was. They didn't realize what they were doing. Yes it will take some time, but eventually humans will be more earth safe. You see all the time people trying to be more enviroment-friendly. You could do both, btw. You could write, but be an ecoligist as well. Many authors have other jobs, and you could tell the world through writing how people destroying the earth makes you feel.

I care for the envirorment but is it really possible to make factories earth friendly?
i dont think it would be possible with the current world to be 100% friendly, think of how many smokers there are, how many cars there are, how many factories there are and every other little thing there is...
I just see that im living and im happy :)

Actually there are a lot of ways we could make our nation a more environment-friendly place, such as raising fuel efficiency standards, dedicating more funds to research for renewable energy sources, etc.

I don't think there can be a very drastic change.
it's simply cheaper not to do anything about it, and that's how our economy works. factory owners aren't going to voluntarily spend money to clean things up, because they'd have to raise the price of whatever it is they produce, and people would buy less.
sure, the government can attempt to raise standards all they want, but if it makes things more expensive (and it does), not everyone will go for it.

Most writers don't make a lot of money, anyway.
