Is it possible to do horizontal scanlines in PSP 7?

What about Diagonal?

- open 10 by 10 pixel image
- pick the pencil tool and draw a line across the picture.
- set the image as patter (i don't know how to do this anymore)
- then go to your own image and make a new layer
- click on the floodfill tool and select patterns. Choose the pattern you made and fill the layer with it
- set opacity to 50% or something to what you like

basically it works the same as horizontal and vertical, But horizontal and vertical can also be done with the effect "blinds" so you don't need to make a new image for it.

1. Open new image
2. Add new layer and flood fill with color of your choice
3. Go to effects->texture effects->blinds and add the size you want
4. Click on the deform tool and twist the handle then apply the deform
5. Click on the crop tool, draw a rectangle the size you want and crop
6. Merge layers and save
